Context programme day 2
We are excited for you to join us on the second day of our context programme, on Saturday 1 June at de Brakke Grond, where we will challenge entrenched notions of identity and reality, deepen our explorations of critical perspectives on social and cultural shifts, and uncover new pathways towards transformative futures.
With: Lou Drago (Talk & Performance) , Ramon Amaro (Talk), Diana Neranti & Jonathan Chaim Reus, Libby Heaney (Talk), Miha Turšič (Talk), Camille Barton (Talk)
To welcome you into the space of the de Brakke Grond, we will start off with a guided sound meditation by Lou Drago. From 11:00 until 11:30, together with the Berlin-based artist and dreamer we will probe the healing potentials of sound and the urgency for collectivity in neoliberal times.
From there, we ease into discussions with an examination of race and machine lead by Ramon Amaro. In this conversation, we’ll explore the complex relationship between race and machine learning, and offer counter-strategies to current extractive AI systems and the culture(s) they originate from.
The fusion of AI and collective embodied practices will be explained by Diana Neranti & Jonathan Chaim Reus. Together they will tell about experimenting and performing with AI and the various aspects of the body.
Is it really possible that we exist in multiple forms in different worlds? Libby Heaney, together with Miha Turšič are diving deeper into more-than-planet knowledge and quantum bodies.
The day will end with Camille Barton & Lou Drago, who will talk us through new forms of collectivity and communal healing.
