Jeroen Vandesande is a sound/media artist and educator who develops work at the intersection of installation art, composition and (sculptural) instrument development. He teaches in sound art practices and has worked with many upcoming sound artists at the RITCS in Brussels. As part of the introduction panel of the Sound Art Performance day on Sunday 2 June, he will participate in a discussion on the present and future of sound art - with a special focus on the collaboration between the Netherlands and Belgium.

Vandesande completed his master studies at the Ghent School of Fine Arts Sint Lucas and has been active as a sound artist since 2006. Besides giving performances he also creates sound installations and regularly works together with musicians and performers or theater and has performed or exhibited for audiences in several art centers and concert halls in cities such as Ghent, Brussels, Kortrijk, Hasselt, Eindhoven (NL), Utrecht (NL), Maastricht (NL), Leuuwarden (NL), Osnabrück (D), Berlin (D), Washington DC (US), Rennes and Caen (F) and Krems (A).
